Visit by President of House of Councillors, Mr Eda Satsuki
On Saturday 17 October Mr Eda Satsuki visited the Nissan Institute to present a paper on recent changes in Japanese politics.
Although he was careful to maintain a degree of neutrality in keeping with his current role of president (Speaker) of the House of Councillors, there was no hiding his enthusiasm for the reforms being implemented by the new government of PM Hatoyama’s government. Later in the weekend he visited Linacre College where he had studied from 1969-71.
