This funding scheme, offering grants to DPhil students whose thesis relates to Japan, is now open for applications.
The University of Oxford’s Sasakawa Fund exists to support the advancement of knowledge and understanding of Japan. The Thesis Completion Grant scheme is intended to help students in the final year of a DPhil course with the final write-up of their thesis. To be eligible, that thesis needs to have a significant focus on Japan, but this may be from the humanities or the social, physical or medical sciences.
More information including detailed eligibility criteria and the application process can be found below. The deadline for applications this year is 4pm on Friday 15th May. Completed forms should be sent to the Fund Administrator at trustfunds@ames.ox.ac.uk.
