Dr Natalia Doan joined the Nissan Institute as the Wadham College Okinaga Junior Research Fellow in Japanese Studies in September 2019.
Natalia was a former student of the Nissan Institute and completed her MSc in Modern Japanese Studies in 2015 and then studied for a DPhil in History under Professor Sho Konishi.
Her research interests include nineteenth-century Japanese history, and the transnational production of resistance, culture, and solidarity.
