Current DPhil in History candidate and former MPhil in Modern Japanese Studies student Warren Stanislaus was invited to speak at the annual higher education conference in Belfast of the British Universities International Liaison Association (BUILA).
n a panel session that focused on Japan, he shared how UK universities can better engage with Japanese companies to create totally new opportunities for students.
It was clear from the conference that Japan has long fallen off the priority list for the majority of UK HE institutions, despite the fact that Japanese universities and employers are increasingly looking outwards for fresh partnerships. Both sides are missing out.
