On 2 February, Yosuke Buchmeier will give a lecture at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence titled “Governing for the Long Term: Participatory Innovations and Intergenerational Politics in Europe and Japan.” The talk introduces the Japanese concept of Future Design and explores how future-oriented participatory approaches can inform debates on fiscal governance and intergenerational justice in Europe.
