Swire Scholarships are open to MPhil, MSc and DPhil applicants who are permanent residents of Japan, Chinese mainland or Hong Kong SAR and have completed the majority of their formal education in their country/region of permanent residency. They cover 100% of the course fees and a grant for living costs. Economic airfares to and from London are provided at the beginning and end of the scholarship.
In order to be considered for this scholarship, candidates must submit their application for graduate study to the University by the January deadline and then submit a separate, online Swire application by a deadline set at 5pm (UK time) on 2 March 2026.
