His review of Igor Prusa’s Scandal in Japan: Transgression, Performance, and Ritual (Japan Anthropology Workshop Series, Routledge, 2024) has been published in The Journal of Asian Studies. The piece discusses how Prusa conceptualizes scandals in Japan as both social rituals of transgression and reintegration and as media products shaped by journalistic routines and power networks.
