Cora Tsang

Expanding on her master's thesis, Cora's DPhil research investigates how different groups of Japanese people adapt their financial plans for post-retirement expenses to the changing circumstances in Japan's demography, economy, social welfare system and family structure.  It also seeks to understand the different investment patterns observed among Japanese people as compared to people in other countries.  

Cora graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Japanese Language Citation.  Before resuming her studies, she was an Executive Director in the Fixed Income and Currencies Division of UBS, trading structured products out of Hong Kong and Tokyo.   

Cora's MSc research has been generously supported by the Hong Kong SAR government's Scholarship for Excellence Scheme, and her DPhil research is currently funded by the Swire Scholarship at St Antony's College.
