Theodore C. “Ted” Bestor, 1951–2021

Theodore C. Bestor, Reischauer Institute Professor of Social Anthropology at Harvard University, passed away on July 1, 2021, aged 69.
He was an academic visitor at the Nissan Institute for Michaelmas Term 2014 together with his wife Vickey. They actively engaged in all our seminars, workshops and other activities and Ted gave a talk on Washoku and UNESCO as part of the Nissan Institute Seminar Series.
