Daiwa Scholarships in Japanese Studies
The Daiwa Scholarships in Japanese Studies, a postgraduate programme to support the study of Japanese Studies in either Japan or the UK, were launched in 2015.
The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation gratefully acknowledges additional support for this programme from Daiwa Securities Group Inc. who have funded the 2015 to 2022 Scholars.
Since 2015, Scholarships have been awarded to 31 individuals, focussing on Japan in a variety of areas such as archaeology, art, history and Japanese literature both in the UK and Japan.
The intention is to support postgraduate studies related to Japan at a university in Japan or the UK.
The deadline for the 2025 programme is Thursday, 30 January 2025.
Interviews are scheduled to take place on Friday 7 March 2025.
